Academic Partners

US-Brazil Connect has three founding community college member institutions:

  •       Houston Community College: is one of the largest institutions of higher education in the United States, with 70,000 students each semester and 8,000 international students– more than any community college in the country.  HCC has a successful, long-term partnership with Viet Nam and Saigon Tech, where students earn HCC degrees in Business, Computer Science, and Information Science Technology.
  •     Jackson Community College: serves more than 11,000 students annually and provides a “complete college experience,” with state-of-the art facilities, high-demand programs, on-campus apartment-style housing, and more sports teams than any other community college in Michigan.
  •     Red Rocks Community College: has delivered a quality education to an eclectic mix of students of all ages, incomes, and backgrounds since 1969. With 14,000 annual students, RRCC offers more than 150 programs and 650 courses leading to two-year degrees or professional certificates.

Institutional Partners

  •      Brazilian Industrial Social Services: Portuguese for Serviço Social da Indústria, is a private Brazilian not-for-profit institution that operates throughout the country. It was set up on July 1, 1946 with the aim of promoting social welfare, cultural development and improving the lives of workers and their families and the communities they live in.

 

  •      Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial (SENAI): Portuguese language for National Service for Industrial Training is a network of not-for-profit secondary level professional schools established and maintained by the Brazilian Confederation of Industry (a patronal syndicate). SENAI is one of the most important institutions in the country providing formal training for specialized workers for the industry, in the areas of chemistrymechanics, and construction.
