My name is Alberto Félix da Fonseca Silva and I’ll be 16 years old on November 5th. I live in Recife-Pernambuco (Brazil) with my father, my mother, my brother and my grandmother; I just have one brother. I like to play guitar with my brother and my friends, I love watching movies on the cinema and to meet new people; my favorites subjects are math and foreign languages; I am so glad with this trip and I am so anxious to meet my “American family”.

Hi, my name is Denysson Carlos, and I’m 16 years old. I live in Maceió, Alagoas since my childhood and I have one younger brother (10 years). I am very excited to perform activities and always in a good mood. I like to meet new people and make new friends. So, I’m sure I’ll get along with the family that will live with in the United States. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, listening to music, singing, watching movies, hang out with friends, going to parties, bowling, playing football and going to the gym. I was very happy to learn that I was chosen for the trip, and I’m really excited to do it. My expectations for the trip are that I can enjoy every moment that I witnessed there. I hope to participate in fun activities every day and also find the coaches who have taught in Brazil. But I also hope that during these 15 days, I can learn more about the U.S. and improve my English.

Hello, my name is Erica Bianco. I’m 16 and in the 3rd year of high school. I do Web Design Course at Senai, I live in Maceió, Alagoas, northeastern state of Brazil, and I live with my mother, my sister and my dog. In my free time I like to eat, to read romance and thrillers books, and I like to listen music like Rock, Pop, Indie Rock, MPB (Brazilian pop music) and others… I’m a very eclectic person when the conversation is about music. My favorite subjects are English and Philosophy. My expectations for this trip are to learn how to live with foreign people, improve my English, and to acquire as much knowledge as I can for my future. I’m so happy and excited about all this! 
Gustavo Lucas de Souza Mel, Maceió
My complete name is Gustavo Lucas de Souza Melo, and I’m 17 years old. Currently I live with mom, Rita, my stepdad, Pedro, my sister, Géssica, my brother, Gabriel, my grandma, Lourdes, and ours 5 cats and 5 dogs. We live in the neighborhood of Feitosa, Maceió, the capital of the Brazilian state of Alagoas. I really like this place, but I think that here it is little too hot. In my free time I like listen to music, study foreign languages (English, Esperanto and Norwegian, the last one is really very hard!). I also like to watch some movies and videos, have fun with my pets, hang out with friends, read books and work out. I have only one expectation about the trip: I want see snow! I have never seen snow and I guess that will be amazing, one of the best things.

I am an only child, and I love to hang out with my boyfriend, enjoy a movie at home with my family, and go to the movie theatre. I love traveling, seeing new places and going to the mall. I’m very excited about the upcoming travel! I keep wondering how fun it will be to spend these days in the house of other people who speak only English, get to know a new country and a new culture. I am dreaming about seeing snow, the cold days and the getaway to the mountains – it will be magnificent! I cannot wait! And best of all, is knowing that we have achieved it with our hard work and willpower.

My expectations for the trip are the best! I cannot wait to practice my English, learn a new culture and see my instructors. This will be the best trip of my life!

Well, my name is João Gabriel. I am 16 years old and I live in Recife (state of Pernambuco). My family is big: I have two brothers and four sisters besides my father and my aunt. I really love all of them. I didn’t choose my future profession yet, but as I would like to know many countries, I think I will be a tourism guide. I study at SESI in the morning and at SENAI in the afternoon. On Saturdays, I study English at my course. My goal is to be fluent in English. Conexão Mundo was an excellent opportunity. I always wanted to go to the United States. It was always my dream. To meet American people was a great and wonderful experience that helped me to improve my knowledge. But I think I need to learn more and more. I am sure this trip and meeting you all will be the best thing of my life. I am a great person. I’m patient, I like to hear everybody. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, to read books, to play, to go out, to sleep, to study… But I really like to help other people with everything.
