Conexão Mundo/World Connection

Conexão Mundo/World Connection is a project that US-Brazil Connect has developed alongside Brazilian Partners, the Brazilian Confederation of Industry, the National Apprenticeship Service of Brazil (SENAI), the Social Service for Industry of Brazil (SESI), and the United States Embassy in Brazil. In an effort to strengthen the English language skills essential for the emerging global industry sector, Brazilian partners collaborated with US-Brazil Connect to build language capacity for students in high school. This year, US-Brazil Connect sent 37 Fellows from its U.S. college partners including students from Jackson College, Northwestern Michigan College, Flathead Valley Community College, and Red Rocks Community College. Additionally, 21 individuals from other colleges or young professional networks were selected as “Global Leader” Fellows. These Fellows served as “coaches,” teaching English to Brazilian high schools by mentoring and connecting with students.
