Catarina Williams, one of our 2012 fellows, expressed her experience in Brazil through paint. She comments on her work:
Salvador is a city of music, dance, movement and happiness. I wanted to document these memories through my series in hopes that the viewer could also experience a palpable essence of the city and its people. Read more about her artwork
Sorcha Moldauer, a student from Red Rocks Community College, wrote about her emotions on the last day of the Fellowship in Brazil. She comments, “I feel like over this month my heart grew 100 times as big because of the love, friendship and family these students gave me. Only for, in one day, my heart to be ripped out, broken into a million pieces, and then carefully stitched back together with pieces of my 10 students hearts’.” Read more about her heartfelt emotions

A Brazilian participant, Tayná Rabelo Andrade Santos, wrote about her experience learning English with EBEP/US-Brazil Connect in Salvador, June 5- July 3, 2012. She questions the program by stating, “On the sixth of June, upon the Americans’ arrival, we were taken by anticipation and curiosity… What will my coach be like in person? Will they be cool? Will it be fun? Will it be too tiring? Will it be worth it?” Find out her final thoughts
