Please join US-Brazil Connect, the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation, Red Rocks Community College, the Colorado Department of Higher Education, Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade, Colorado Partners of the Americas, and World Trade Center Denver for discussion and celebration of “Brazil Day”.
Brazil is now the world’s sixth-largest economy, surpassing the United Kingdom in 2011. With a growing middle class of about 90 million people and abundant natural resources, it is a market Colorado cannot afford to ignore. But entry into Brazil is not easy. It is a country based on relationships. Long-term success cannot be achieved through technical knowledge alone.
This discussion, featuring leaders from the Brazilian Confederation of Industry and Colorado business and higher education, will describe the forces that are fueling Brazil’s progress, profile Colorado successes in linking with Brazil, and examine how education, business, and community linkages can be leveraged for economic opportunity.
Featuring
Sergio Moreira, Deputy Director of SENAI, SESI, IEL of the Brazilian Confederation of Industry
Tom Clark, Chief Executive Officer, Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation
Michele Haney, President, Red Rocks Community College
Eleanor Allen, Senior Vice President, CH2M HILL
Mario Hernandez, Director of Public Affairs, Western Union
